Thanks, very interested as well.
There seems to be a bunch out there, but would like to hear the consensus on what is most commonly read
Your city's business journal Biznow Curbed MultiHousingNews for Multifamily Urban Land Magazine
Plus, I follow a lot of companies on LinkedIn and Facebook, so I check both of those to see any posts.
These are all good. Also NREI and Globe St.
RE Alert and Commerical Mortgage Alert (CMA) are excellent for the latest institutional market info, however they are very expensive.
Solid additions. PERE is great too but yikes at that price. I haven't actually gotten it for years.
I’m New York based so here are my must reads (daily/weekly): PropertyDay (aggregation service) The Real Deal Curbed NY PERE News New York YIMBY Brownstoner (Brooklyn based RE news)
I also subscribe to print versions of: ULI Magazine (quarterly) NREI Magazine Crain’s New York Bloomberg Markets (not RE, but general finance/economics) Multifamily Executive RE Alert and Commercial Mortgage Alert when I can find someone to forward me a free copy.
Also, I try to read market research reports from some of the top Brokerages (JLL, Marcus, CBRE). And when I can, I try to get my hands on institutional level research from top IB’s (they constantly produce so much crap for their clients….getting your hands on it is the hard part).
I know this sounds like an exhaustive amount of reading, but I’m constantly trying to stay apprised of whats happening around me, make connections, etc.
Hi
Thinking of applying to NYU's MSRE or MSRED program.
Is the program full time? How many in-residence classes are held every day?
What I could understand from the info on their website is that each semester there are around 4 courses totaling 12 credits. But what seems strange is that each of these courses seem to be having once lecture per week (different lecturers for the same course and pick one from them).
I want to join a full time course.
Your inputs will be very helpful.

In DC Urban Turf seems to be a pretty solid place for information. I believe they also have a Chicago based website. I didn't see it but I assume someone already said
Globe Street Commercial Real Estate Executive
The best are the Alert publications but I'm not sure they're worth the cost.
I am not sure if this was mentioned since am reading on phone but:

The author is a great all around guy and an experienced real estate investor and professional. Good community and reading.
Thanks for the tips.
There are no specific blogs for real estate because each and every blog gives some extra information.
Check out trippple.net - summary of major stories from previous week and some commentary on real estate economics.
Resources to Learn about CRE? (Originally Posted: 11/14/2016)
I am transitioning over to CRE from the residential side originating loans. I am curious as to any materials that would be beneficial for me to learn more about CRE similar to how trading and sales has vault guides etc. Anyone have any newbie suggestions?
If you have time to read a book or three, this is a good place to start:

Favorite sources for CRE news? (Originally Posted: 10/04/2016)
Hey, curious to see what news sources people like to use/read to stay up to date on happenings in CRE?
Thanks
Tends to be a commonly asked question. Search bar will be your first point of contact here. To get you started, check out Globest.com, CRE Finance Council (crefc.com) (may be subject to registration and/or fees depending on your status), and sometimes your local therealdeal.com
Thanks for the insight kiddo, though was hoping folks outside of school would opine. I've been reading my usual sources like commercial observer, CREnews, CMA etc. for a few years now being in the RE debt space but was curious to see what folks from other facets of RE (equity, construction, etc.) prefer to read. But appreciate the insight.
