FBR Capital Markets vs. Wells Fargo
Have offers from both in IBD.
I know a quite a bit about WF but not much about FBR. Searched older threads but couldn't find anything recent nor relevant.
Thoughts on FBR? All I know is that they are a decent MM player. Would like to know more about the general stuff pay/exit opps/culture. And if it worth taking over WF.
Thanks
Pay is below market and they really haven't been the same firm in the last 5 years. They don't get the deals they once did, have shed core groups, and have jettisoned senior bankers. I'd take Wells Fargo without thinking about it.
Wells Fargo is technically a BB now with a healthy balance sheet compared to others. I'd take WF.
I would definitely take WF, especially if you are going to be dropped into a legacy-Wachovia group.
As the above-poster mentioned, I think the prestige-level of WF will increase over the next few years. Thats why I'm working there, anyways. That, and I love charlotte culture.
I've heard great things about Charlotte. Never been there, but heard its a nice, clean, laid-back city.
it's a dirty city....what's nice about Charlotte?
