Fellow PE analyst seeking help and guidance

Hi everyone,

You guys have been a great source of encouragement and knowledge for me in the last 3+ years. Thank you all.

I create a post today to seek your critiques on resume and ask for any guidance/advice you could give.

My background:
- International kid, H1-B Visa, non-target school,
- Cold called my way to get a boutique IB internship
- 2 years of experience at a PE shop ( fundless sponsor, raising capital on a deal basis)
- Solid sell-side M&A, capital raising experience, excel, modeling, LBO

My current situation:
- Talking to the well-known recruiting firms: they take the meeting, forwarded my resume but I rarely get the first round probably due to the lack of brand names and traditional IB background.

I would greatly appreciate if you guys could be brutally honest with my weakness and what else I can do to improve my resume and job search strategy.

If you are in NYC and would willing to meet for a beer or coffee, I would be grateful. You can bet for my commitment to pay it forward and my loyalty to folks who lend me a hand along the way. Thank you all
