Finance Entry Guidance

Hello All,

I am an aggressive student looking to make my break into a large firm. I have undergrad degrees in finance and business economics from an good, not great, local school. I am pursuing a masters in finance degree from a good, not top tier however, regional b school. I work full-time as a sales assistant to a financial consultant at a regional (don't mean to continuous label everything as regional hah) bank. I will obtain my Series 7 and 66 licenses in a couple months. The masters program will not be completed until mid-2013. Does an advanced certificate from NYU hold any weight considering my background? What should I do to gain an edge above the top tier school where these firms seem to recruit? Help me make my breakthrough!
