Financial Analyst at Google/Amazon/Yahoo recruiting
Hi Everyone,
I'm very interested in getting into big tech firms after graduation. I was wondering could you give me some insight about the recruiting and interview process?
When do they start to interview for summer internship/full time role? How are the difficulties in those firm compare to investment banking?
Beside finance and coding, what are some other positions available for fresh grad to enter in tech?
Are there any corporate finance interview guide available? I can find banking guide, consulting guide but not corporate finance guide...
Thank you so much in advance!
Any advice? Thanks!
No good direct advice from me but I'd recommend looking up relatively recent alumni (
Try to update yourself with the latest news and updates for the companies' websites you wish to apply for. There all the procedures are clearly explained including the eligibility of candidates they are looking for.
Amazon recruited at my school for entry level positions, but the people who took the jobs ended up working out of a site other than Amazon's HQ doing pretty mundane work. They got incredible talent due to name recognition, though.
I'd take a hard look at what you want to do before jumping to a company based on their big name and industry alone. Think about the actual work you want to be doing. The people going into tech doing interesting jobs are usually being hired out of IB or top MBA programs.
