Besides, Big-4 firms, I was wondering what other firms have good reputations for FDD. I was guessing may be valuations shops like Duff & Phelps? I know Bain has a reputable due diligence group. Just trying to get a list of FDD firms in terms of reputations and career growth opportunities. Thanks!

This will be highly dependent on your local market since I get the sense that you are trying to draft a list of places to apply. A little pre-research would help you vs. having others do your homework since not all firms will have FDD in any given market. Your best bet is to lateral internally within your own firm. If that's not an option, from Big 4 audit you should target other Big 4 FDD groups and next tier public accounting firms' FDD practices (BDO, Crowe, etc.).

To name a few: Alvarez & Marsal, FTI Consulting, Riveron Consulting, Mid-tier accounting firms (Crowe Horwath, BDO, etc), and I believe Houlihan does some FDD work, don't quote me on it though.

Also, I believe Bain does more strategic DD rather than FDD.
