Follow up interview
Ok guys, quick question:
I had an interview a week ago and it went well. They asked me to come out for a follow up over lunch. I'm not sure what to expect, this is a first for me. What do you think? What should I be expecting? I can add details if needed but want to stay as ambiguous as possible.
Well, it definitely depends on the company. If I were you, I would head over to glassdoor.com and read specific interview details and what to expect in your situation.
Did that already, unfortunately there were no comments on a lunch interview. This is a bit of a weird situation due to that this started through networking and not a traditional recruiting platform.
with the info. u gave us it looks like you can expect anything, anywhere from getting slapped in the face to getting raped.
in all seriousness i would just be yourself, be sharp, and be confident. also bring a whistle.
I would be very surprised to get railed by technicals over a lunch interview. I feel like they would rather do that in the office where the interviewer can control the environment. That may be flawed reasoning though.
Normally its just a casual conversation with one or two of the more junior guys to get an idea of your fit. Know your reasoning for the obvious stuff like telling your story, 'why banking/our bank/our group' and 'what do you like to do for fun'. The format likely won't be a rigid Q&A, but thats the type of stuff that is likely to come up in conversation.
