For those Econ majors who don't get into IB, what have you resorted to?

I am applying for IB internships, but I am also being realistic considering my gpa is a 3.25. What are some positions you think would be feasible, and finance related....and no, I don't plan on being a bank teller.
As of right now, I am looking for a summer internship, so I am looking at credit analyst, but I am not really sure where all to look.
Are there credit analyst summer programs? What are some "top" credit analyst programs, if this even exist?





Come on: consulting (strategy
Come on: consulting (strategy economic, investment etc), research/asset management (tons of asset classes), PWM, commercial banking (credit analysts!). Look at asset management firms, pension funds, insurance firms, wealth managers, investment consulting, economic consulting and so on

Any job you can get with a finance degree you can get with an econ degree. Hasn't hurt me in my fldp.
They all do- do some research
They all do- do some research into how they're different and see how that fits with your interests/your qualifications because there is a lot of variety there
I was an econ major, and
I was an econ major, and missed boat on IB due to the horrible gpa.. I work at a consulting firm now (non-strategy)
2 years after graduation, I still have nightmares about my gpa
