Do the 3-2 Program. I personally think it is one of the hidden gems offered at Fordham for like you mentioned not a very high GPA threshold. Apart from the fact that the Columbia brand will open more doors than Fordham I very strongly believe that an engineering degree far outweighs that of a strictly Finance degree at this point. While the extra cost may seem like a lot at the moment I wouldn't sweat it. Apply for scholarships, become a RA (full room & Board at Fordham), and work/intern part time if need be. Overall you won't regret when after 5 years you'll have a Engineering degree from Columbia.

Full disclosure, I went to Fordham and was a strictly finance guy and landed a FO S&T seat at a BB.

Nice guys may not finish last but they sure don't finish first. Loyalty is not rewarded, it's taken advantage of.
