Former professional athlete need help with cover letter/resume

Good morning!!

Long story short, I am a former professional soccer player who is looking to make the transition into a banking career. I left the U.S. at the age of 19 to play professional ball in Europe, came back and played here as well. Represented the National Team a couple of times also. I have my MBA in Finance, graduated with a 3.8 GPA, and have been a Director of Programs at a personal training company in Chicago for the last year. I am interested in Basel II, risk analysis, and sales and have always been a numbers junkie. I know that I should mention something about my soccer career in my resume, but I do not know to what extent?? My biggest question is if I should include any of my soccer achievements/experiences in my cover letter?? I would greatly appreciate any advice because I am extremely eager to break into the industry and start using my brain not my legs :) Thanks
