Fortune 100 FP&A --> Big 6 Bank Controller Group (Top 10 MBA & CPA)
I am looking for advice on a potential job offer. I am not trying to break into front office opportunities. I am more interested in getting some feedback on whether I might be pigeonholed or if I can move onto other back office/middle office finance roles in the future:
I have a Top 10 MBA/CPA and have been working at a FP&A group (@ Top 3 insurance company) as a senior analyst.
I got an offer from one of the Big 6 banks controller group as an associate working on bank legal entity control/governance:
-Governance and optimization of the Bank legal entity, including ensuring effective relationships with our regulators and auditors.
- Ensuring accuracy and integrity of the books and records, including that those booking to the LE comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
-Developing and instituting processes that deliver robust forward looking budgeting, planning, forecasting and stress testing
- Leading the Bank LE CCAR and Bank resolution unwind plan activities
What do you think? I appreciate any advice that you might have.
