Manual? Let me guess, you're from europe, that is, eastern 'macho' europe

Either way, the interior is nice. The ride looks pretty clean too, congrats man!

Why from eastern Europe? Western Europe also is basically all standard transmission. Only handicapped people drive automatic.

Got to love how this thread went from how OP is going to be covered in chicks because of his new car to a discussion about Diablo 3.

Is that car good? How is it better than a camry made in the last ten years? Speeding doesnt count.

Manual was the only way to go. Period. Anyone who buys anything that can even be mistaken for a 'nice' car in automatic (outside of the large sedans and SUVs) should absolutely get manual.

Happy, I totally disagree. I think that it's possible to get a nice car in automatic - especially if it only comes in automatic. The big problem is that you'd be shocked at how many people can't drive a stick; not just that - it's how many people can't drive a stick and would burn out the clutch way too quickly. Then again, I would have a manual transmission in my car if it weren't for the fact that when I got mine, you could only get the all-wheel drive version in an automatic.

Relinquis:
Enjoy the manual while you can...

in a few years all new sportscars and sports coupes will have flappy paddle gearboxes as standard. While they're nicer than an automatic, they're not the same as an old school manual...

That has red leather but good try.

I was mostly talking about the ECU retune, but if that's all you noticed I guess you'd be happy with a 328.

I'll leave your questionable taste out of this. Make sure you at least put some proper tires on it when the time comes around. I just finished a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports, great tires but completely to the tire bar at 30k miles. Switching out to a set of Continental extremecontact DWS. Supposed to get 50k miles and are rated for snow. Your car is only good as the rubber putting the power onto the ground.

Manual VS Automatic deserves its own thread to settle this debate once and for all.

I never understood why some people would say that driving an automatic ride is for females. We're not in the 1970's fellas.

Automatic FTW.

Manual vs Auto boils down to what you want out of a car. If you don't care about the experience and just need to move from A to B, 9 times out of 10 the auto will be the better choice for you.

That being said, there's a reason why Lewis Hamilton got his Zonda 760RS (1.6 million dollar car btw) with a manual. It's because the F1 champ (who should know a thing or two about driver engagement and fun) knows that there's nothing an automatic can do in the way of creating that link between you and the car.

Why spend such a large sum of money, whether it be 5k, 50k or 500k, just to be a passenger on the ride when you can be a part of it? Unless of course you live in LA or commute through stop-and-go traffic 90% of the time.

I have one of these too, though the hard top convertible version (same body as the couple) and a different year. I don't want to rain on your parade, but I'd caution that the reason the car is so cheap is because you're buying one of the most unreliable cars ever made (2007 3 series). They got better each year, but that was the first year of the refresh. I never recommend warranties, but in this case I'd strongly encourage you to buy a third-party warranty. Aside from the fuel pump (which has been recalled and now has a 10 year warranty) the slightest electrical problem could cause you to need to replace the entire $6,000 electrical system. Not to mention you're buying a car with two turbos on it that are six year's old. When those go, that will be expensive as well. It's an awesome car and you're going to love it, but I'm just saying think prudently here.
