Freshmen/Soph Years (+Desjardins)

So I know that during these years the focus is to try and obtain the highest marks you can achieve and what not, but at my university I have two internships to do during those years.

I am wondering what are the best types of jobs I can aim for to have a better chance at getting BB trading internships in my senior years. Should I work as a financial analyst, technical analyst, job-shadow a trader (without pay)? Capital markets at a Canadian BB, boutiques, GE Capital, Desjardins etc

Also regarding Desjardins, how are they looked at on the street and are they best at trading jobs or something else?
