From Political Science BA to PE Analyst offer

Hello,

I just wish to introduce myself to the community. I'm an incoming PE analyst in a Growth-only boutique firm in a major European market.

As I mentioned in the title, I come from a liberal arts education background and through a short (and relatively pointless) passage through management consulting I landed to a PE job. Not sure in the US, but here it is... well, peculiar. If anybody is interested in my story, someday I will share it.

WSO has been very useful during the recruitment and, yes, the networking. Since I kick-off next sept. and will be on trial for the first months, any advice for avoiding silly mistakes is more than welcome.

That's it for now, I wish a great summer to those of us who can still enjoy it!

Hi, it was a small firm that focused both on processes and, allegedly, strategy. I remained there for 5 months and it was actually my first job out of the business school. But you are right, during the recruitment nobody really cared about that part of my resume
