From prop/ HFT firms to BB investment banks

Hi All,

The question is simple, how likely is it/ often for guys from HFT and prop trading firms get hired onto trading desks at bulge bracket investment banks.

Thanks

Do you know of anyone that has made the move?

Oh yeah I'm sure people have definitely man (a friend is currently at a market making/prop firm and had hedge fund interviews). If you're good enough at your job and networking, there is legit nothing that can stop you. Its just not something that happens by seeing it every day on a career site. You have to put a load of work in to get the results.

no, because i was accepted to the prop job after submitting my resume to the bank.. and then the bank got back to me after ive been working for a while
