FT Offer Dilemma: Got Pro's and Con's?

Guys,

how would you decide between the following FT job offers (in Europe / London):

1) Very specialised top-tier industry group (think RE, FIG, O&G)

+ Brand
+ Structured program
+ Pay
+/- Unique modelling experience
- Don't really like the industry, so REPE after 2-3y is definetely not what I want to do
- Hours / Boring

2) Niche Private Equity firm (highly succesful in what they do, but not well-known if thinking about an average bschool adcom or even PE hr rep)

+ Experience
+ Modelling / Skill Set
+ Network
- Brand
- Pay

Frankly, while I would love to gain the PE experience, I am worried about the whole brand vs experience issue going forward.

I might want to go to bschool or switch to AM/HF later in my career, but do not have enough insight/exp to judge which offer to choose.

Help me out please!

Asatar:

In UK / Europe don't worry about BSchool too much. If option 1 is literally pigeonholing you into REPE and that is really not what you want to do, go for 2. At an early point in your career, Pay should not be a deciding factor.

How would 2. be perceived by other PE firms?

I understand that the MFs of this world look for a certain type of candidate (who did the analyst stint at GS/MS).

But if we are talking about other firms, would the deal and modelling experience make up for the missing brand?
