Mr. Wonderful himself is making headlines yet again, after selling the Florida mansion he paid $13 million for just five years ago for a whopping $10. The lucky buyer? His dear wife. Does he seriously think nobody is going to notice his obvious transferring of assets? He’s clearly trying to avoid possible lawsuits from investors, but I really thought he was smarter than this.
According to the article in the NY Times, however, it doesn’t look like he’s going to have much luck with his newest scheme. It’s unlikely that he’ll be able to prove residence in Florida since he primarily lived and worked in NY, so he most likely won’t be able to hide behind Florida’s home protection laws. Besides, the whole deal will most likely be considered fraud since his wife bought the house for less than you’d spend on a trip to McDonalds.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see. This man’s life is like a train wreck. Nobody gives a shit, yet you just can’t look away.

I grew up down the street from Martin Siegel and near Jim Dahl. Don't know Dahl's story, but pretty sure Siegel started building his mansion for him and his wife here in FL after he was put into the boiler.

Dahl was originally from Jacksonville and went to Florida State for UG and MBA. Not quire sure how got to DBL. That was never explained well in Den of Thieves.

I was referring to his house and how he arrived in Jacksonville. I thought it was interesting how two of the biggest crooks from wall street and the 80's ended up in little old podunk jacksonville.
