Full time BB opportunities in Hong Kong
Do the BBs in Hong Kong hire full time IBD analysts, or do they pretty much hire exclusively from their summer intern pool? Mainly interested in GS/MS/JPM.

JPM HK have a few openings at the moment.
Not really interested in openings at the moment, more about the historical trends (i.e. are there full-time openings every year at these firms?)
bump
There are full time openings ever year but like in most other cities, the bulk of their analyst class comes from the SA pool
Bump! Do GS or MS hire full time? Does anyone actually know people hired FT at these firms? My impression was that there's more structured FT hiring in NY, not sure if such is the case in HK.
MS HK ran FT process this year so they do hire FT

Can anyone share their experience in Hong Kong BB recruitment (for an experienced candiate going for an analyst position)? Is it common to wait for a long time before hearing back?
yea it seems like most of the threads on here are talking about ny, anyone with experience recruiting for hk? i'd be interested in hearing some advice as well. thanks in advance.
From my own experience, BBs in HK usually take about 2 months to do their interviews (depending on how anal they are in finding the right candidate in terms of direct experience). So, if you are the first one who they interview....be prepared to down a few bottles of beer everynight for the next two months while you wait painfully for their answers.
On the other hand, if you are the last one that they interview....you would find out pretty soon. I would say around 1-2weeks time. All these I say is for an experienced recruit. New grad will probably be shorter. But then again, it depends on which BB you are interviewing with. Some are more efficient...some like to take their own sweet time.
my friend who was a summer analyst in HK last summer told me that a lot of the firms only have summer analyst classes of 5 people... and they recruit from worldwide. if that's the case, it sounds way more cutthroat than recruiting in the US. and fluency in a second language is almost a must, with mandarin and korean being the most advantageous.

Quick question to those that have been through the process,
Does HK recruit FT? I know the summer classes are tiny by comparison ~(7-15)ppl per BB and they love to hire right out of each other's intern pools during accelerated recruiting.
Does anyone know if HK has FT on campus recruiting, or take FT's outside of their intern pool?
They have FT recruiting. Usually the first round is by phone, them they either fly you to nyc or hk
What's the typical SA conversion rate?
very high for banks except GS
