GE Corp Audit Staff

Hi,

I have read up on the few GE CAS threads on here but have not gathered much info on the program. I am looking to apply for the FMP after undergrad and always hear that CAS is the next step.

I would like to hear from people who have interviewed or gone through FMP and/or CAS and find out what the exit ops and lifestyle for this program is.

TIA

Disclaimer: I am still in college. But one of the alumni from my fraternity went through the IT leadership program and then onto CAS. The program involves a lot of travel. CAS is also pretty competitive to get into from what I hear. GE likes people that stay with the company. I think the typical path goes FMP (2 years) --> CAS (somewhere between 3-5 years) --> senior management.

Other people on here can probably answer this question better, hope some of this helps though.

Basically what's been said on here is accurate.

You do FMP (2 years) at one of the GE businesses (possible to go in from IMLP and RMP as well) and then can either take an "off program" job at your business or try to get on CAS. If your looking to stay at GE for the rest of your life, CAS has a proven track record and will get you there if your willing to suck it up for 5 years, live out of a suitcase, and work awful hours. That being said, you do get to travel to some decent players (Milan, Florence, etc) but when your working all the time its tough to balance. CAS will get you to a senior management position much quicker than just taking a basic off program job. It's still possible to work your way up without doing CAS.

PM me if your looking for more information.
