gen advice

Hey guys,

I come seeking guidance and general tips on maximizing my college experience. I want to eventually work IB/BB. I’m going to be a freshman majoring in finance at Lehigh in the fall. I know that Lehigh is not a target school which is why I am asking your advice on how to make myself stand out for recruitment or, if I don’t get recruited, how to get a job that can help me segway to a job in IB/BB.

As of right now I plan on majoring in finance. I considered a finance+accounting double major but decided I want the extra time for other obligations. I also considered economics but ruled it out because it is a weaker program. I will also likely be pursuing a non-business minor such as humanities out of personal interest. I will be shooting for a 3.8+ GPA. I plan on pledging a fraternity and participating in some other extracurriculars like club sports. I also hope to gain some leadership positions in clubs or within my frat.

Any pointers would be appreciated. I understand some of you have been down this same exact path, so your advice will be valuable to me.

Thank you!
