Getting job for significant other at my bank?

OK, this is a serious question. My significant other is looking to change jobs and she has asked me to forward her resume to our recruiting department for a job in a different position and to make a few calls on her behalf. Good idea, bad idea? Pro/Con? I'm very conflicted but it could also be cool? Help.

Umm... is she trying to get into your group? If so, it's not be the best idea... Conflicts come w/ close quarters.

What kind of calls would you make on her behalf? If somehow it becomes known she's your girlfriend, then she'll lose credibility. I would just send her resume to the recruiting dept. and mention your friend is interested in XYZ groups and has some good exp. Then let her resume do the talking.

Nope, totally different group! She's not a banker. And I'm OK with them knowing she is my GF if I do it; in fact, I would insist on disclosing it. Just trying to weigh the pros/cons. We work different hours (me much longer) so it could be cool to see her more, but too close is too close sometimes.

Haha... you've already got your pro/cons from that post. Pro: Get to see her more. Con: Will see her too much.

If you ever want some personal time, you won't be able to use work as an excuse if she can easily find you (or not find you at your desk)

...

Pro: You guys can have some fun in some offices not in use : ) Con: Get fired if you're unskillfully caught.
