Getting laid with VS Models anyone??
Hey guys,
(in the style of some WSO posts these days)
First a bit of a backstory: I had a date last week with an upcoming VS model, and her personality and "personality" were amazing. Since we have quite a number of mutual friends, thought of pursuing it further by keeping in touch, blah blah blah. Next day, bragged about it to a senior associate during a conversation on the fairer sex. He was like 'meh', as though it happens all the time. He sort of just waved it off, and went on to talk about some lame pickup technique he used. The other analysts didn't seem any curious either as I would've expected. So obviously, this piqued my interest.
So quick question for the veterans - when bankers talk models and bottles, I'm assuming they have a fair success rate with the former (assuming 100% for the latter, wgaf). Out of curiosity, what types of chicks and models have you guys dated/ gotten laid with/ anything sexual? Fame, out-of-10 scale rating, other sexual qualities, other features, etc.?

If we're talking chicks in high finance, sure. Too bad the chicks outside our little bubble don't know who handled Amazon's IPO.
In my experience, chicks outside tech don't know the slightest about Quattrone, Gurley or Jurvetson. Heck, many guys I've met in tech don't know about 'Friends of Frank' one bit.
No, I agree on that. I didn't mean that they'd know the rain makers in Tech Banking by name or whatever, but trust me, there are places where chicks , who are not in finance and may not even have studied anything business related, will know what an IPO, LBO, banking, hedge fund etc. are and will be quite quick to ask what you do, so they can put you in a bracket. Kanye made a song about them.
You're coworkers are stuck-up pricks. They just don't want to admit they aren't getting anybody above 5/10.

No offence and more power to you, but didn't you say in another post "I have no recollections of when I picked up a girl simply on looks and conversation, without props or wingmen."? Out of curiosity, how the hell did you pull a VS model?
Interesting question. Too bad my looks still suck though - my brother asked me the same question and then followed up with a "No way. You're a cross between Harambe and Gaben." (an overstatement, though I don't think he wanted to cast a veiled attack on our forebears) Got to know her through mutual friends - she was apparently good friends with one of my buddies. Being part of the elite (or elite-elite, in bankerspeak) in the City, he gets to serenade models, including chicks. He did the introductions one fine evening party and it just took off from there. Now connecting with him is a long tale for another day. Just goes on to show how important networking is. Also, I'm not talking about 'BB' level models (for lack of a more illustrative phrase) like Ambrosio, Lima or Bundchen; more like one of the younger 'boutique' ones.

Nice job OP. Most guys that are unsuccessful with women treat dating and sex as a zero-sum game, hence their lack perceived of interest. This is a likely cover up attempt of their jealously.

I'm more interested in her career path..did she go the VS route right out of undergrad or post-MBA? Previous internships at boutique (elite?) or MM modelling firms? What exit opps is she eyeing - 2 years and out?
