Gilt Groupe doing a "Wall Street" sale this Thursday
F.Y.I.
Evidently, Gilt Groupe is doing a "Wall Street" themed sale this Thursday. I've never ordered through Gilt Groupe, does anyone think this is like legit thing?
It's in honor of Shia TheBeef, so I'm a bit skeptical. However, they use the phrase BSD, so that appeals to me.

Let me hear your thoughts. I looked through their other stuff and it certainly seems yuppie enough for our tastes.
I've bought some jeans on Gilt before -- some pretty good deals, but if you have a Nordstrom Rack close by you, the prices aren't much different.
Word of caution -- if you return something on Gilt you get a store credit, not your money back.
Gilt is okay... they spam the shit out of you once you by something though... which is annoying

Agreed, Gilt is legit. I have accounts on a lot of those flash sale sites and Gilt is one of the best, not to mention their website is very sleek in comparison to others.
Gilt is the shit. I've bought some ties and suit off Guilt. Great deals on ties and pretty good on suits too. I'll probably get some shoes off Gilt some time in the near future. Returning stuff is really easy. They do give you store credit, but most places that offer discounts that steep are all sales final.
Nordstrom Rack can offer some pretty good deals, but you have to look hard to find the dope threads. Nordstrom Rack is also good for the short and fat and big and tall. Whenever I come across something cool there its never in my size.
I've bought quite a few things from Gilt and you can definitely make some good buys. I've bought a handful of ties, shirts, and a few shorts and pants from Gilt before. As peventure mentioned, their return policy is to just give you store credit. I've returned a few things before but have always found something else to buy with the credit.
Somewhat off the subject, but look up the story behind Gilt. Its pretty interesting. I read an article a year or two ago and at the time they finished a year with $500M in revenue, which was around half of Barney's. They've experienced some extremely fast growth since starting.
Under 3 years, and on track to do around $500 million this year. If you compare it to the main European competitor Vente-Privee - they are like 9 years old, and around a $1bn in revenue - pretty impressive growth.
Haute Look, which is pretty much the same idea, got a pretty good chunk of VC funding recently.
