Goldie Crashes Motorcycle into Pole. Requests Legal Help
I crashed my motorcycle and got a $120 ticket. I had insurance on it through Allstate; same as for my car. The bike is totaled and I'm in a cast, so I cancelled the insurance.
I have the option of doing traffic school for $195.
If I don't do it and just pay the ticket, will my auto insurance go up?
Also, I could go to court and hope the cop doesn't show. If I he doesn't show it gets dropped. What if he does show?
What does Goldie do? Other than stop making terrible life choices.
Aren't you supposed to be in basic training or something right now?
This thread is not about that though.
Damn, well good luck on the legal matter. Take this with a very small grain of salt, but I believe if you are found guilty you will have court fees added on to your ticket, nothing beyond that though.
Is there a way to find out whether I'm eligible for traffic school? I did it before, but I don't remember whether it's been a year.
What are some of the reasons that someone would fail a TS clearance? I am genuinely interested.
They don't tell you, but potential ones for me could be: Family in Ukraine. Uncle is rich and nobody really knows how. Dad who I am not in contact with was involved in a lot of shady shit. Cousin fled the country because of bank fraud or some shit. I have 14 misdemeanors. Got waivers for them all, but still. They talk to friends and family and old classmates and co-workers and shit. Maybe they found out some other dumb shit I've done that's not on paper. Interviewer didn't like my face.
Any number of reasons
Okay, back to helping Goldie with his ticket. Goldie is poor as shit right now and needs to know the lowest present value option.
Plenty honestly. Could be information on your relatives, financial, incorrect employment information, inadequate explanation of drug use and personal interviews of friends and old neighbors for starters.
Oh Goldie. So I've been there with the ticket situation. There should be a few roads named after me (been driving since 15.5).
So depending in the jurisdiction you could show up in court, do an approved driving defense course to reduce the points on your record. Youll still most likely have to pay for the ticket. Also, if your insurance catch wind of it they'll increase the rate at some point. But if they do, you could inform them of the defensive driving course, which may reduce the increased rate by a hair.
Unless you're at risk of losing your license die to points, skip the dd course. Because you'll be paying them, the tic and eventually the increased insurance rate.
If you've got the time just go to the court to delay it. If you can have them hold off on posting the tic and points to your record for about 6months, then you should be fine with the insurance increase. Most ins companies pull your driving record at the beginning of a policy, a policy chance (add a driver, car etc), or like every six months.
It sounds like doing cool shit all the time is starting to catch up with you. At least, you can still do your jet ski trip down the Mississippi River once you're out of the cast. Way better than being stuck in a DULL office getting a decent paycheck.
Goldie found out he was ineligible for traffic school because he got a ticket last December, got someone to take the online class for him, and forgot it ever happened.
Anyway, Goldie went to court and the cop shows, The nerve of the moustache wearing bastard. But Goldie made the judge laugh and got only supervision. Got off pretty cheap, all said!
In other news, did you know you can get custom images on your CapOne card? For FREE? Goldie got a picture of himself in a cowboy hat and Birkenstocks.
Also, if you buy liquor at Walgreens, your CC and Mint thinks it's healthcare. NICE!
Whatd ya say to make the judge laugh?
Goldie is like, "I would argue that while I performed an inadequate job of reducing my speed, the pole I encountered supplemented my performance adequately."
Anyway, long story short, judge was a bro and I got supervision for crashing a motorcycle into a pole blackout drunk going 90 in a 25. I can't fucking lose.
What do you do? You go faster next time. So you aren't just in a cast but a casket.
