Where do yall get your jeans

No this isn't a "what jeans do ibankers wear" post... I'm just wondering where do you guys get your jeans
I used to wear express slim jeans and some levis but I was wondering what are your favorite brands of jeans that are decently priced, slim fit, straight cut, black, grey and dark navy

Express= shit and Levi's= good start. Levi's denim is analogous to Citi and financial products - endless choices. If you are junior (sounds like it) go grab some traditional mall jeans at J.Crew, Guess or Diesel. They have some good styles. Start off with dark navy denim to wear button downs with and snag some light washed for a dark shirt or some black jeans for in da club. Plan on spending $100 for jeans you won't want to throw away after 6 mos. Please no True Religion, Ed Hardy or Rock&Republic unless you live at Seaside Heights. Also, ask/bring your sister or GF or that cute female analyst in the other cube so they can offer advice. Hope this helps.

Yo, funny story.

Ok, I was dating a girl in Pittsburgh and we went to the True Religion store so crack head could get his fix. She has a weird style and didn't understand my love for the obnoxious. Well needless to say I bought some ridiculous jeans that day much to her dismay. The relationship did not last much longer. I loved the jeans way more than here hahah.

Side note, I absolutely love the details on true religion jeans. I used to be a Guess Premium snob simply because of the copper buttons, weathered denim, great fit and wonderful sticking. TR's trump them in every way. American made, thick stitching, great denim, love the buttons and back pocket flaps. Great jeans.

We can be friends, SF?

Think that for a guy, it's important to have one staple pair of jeans that fit you well and doesn't make you look like you're wearing your dad's bottoms. You might have to pay a little more, but save up and as long as your sizing is relatively stable, you won't regret it.

k-mart at 34th and 7th for my wranglers. Macys for my levis...its a simple formula and it keeps me looking good and more importantly feeling comfortable all the F**kin time

Any other jeans are for straight up tools/hipsters

Interesting picks, GoodBread...I will def look into those.

ambition56 - honestly, if you like the slimmer fit try Diesel, they have quality Italian denim and many slim styles. They are on the more edgy side of things, however. Or H&M, Zara, etc. without spending as much dough.

Chance favors only the prepared mind.

Saks, Bloomingdales

Get Sevens, Rock and Republic, etc

I mix and match washes, fits, whatever

I also like a thick denim. Thin denim is just cheap (that's why I could never buy Joe's)

Anyone else notice that designer jeans always have really epic names?

Seven for All Mankind Citizens of Humanity True Religion Rock and Republic Diesel Industries (ok this isn't as epic)

Don't waste your money on the jeans that are over-distressed and with overly embellished pockets. Stick with a simple design and they won't be out of style next season. APC or Levis raw denim is the way to go. The summer is usually too hot for raw denim so get yourself a few proper fitting chinos for to hold you over to the fall.

I just picked up a pair of Guess jeans for like $40 on sale at Macy's the other day. They wouldn't have been my first choice, but after trying on about 20 different pairs, they fit really well and look to be decent quality, especially for the price. I have a big lower body so I couldn't fit in a pair of skinny, or slim, fit jeans if my life depended on it. In fact, I usually have to get a couple sizes bigger just to get shit to fit in...hence trying on the 20 different pair of jeans.

Levi's all day! @go.bears - definitely agree. Nothing on them and I especially hate pre-rips. I mean if you want a pair of jeans with rips in it than steal it from some homeless guy.

Actually, I wonder why Gold Man Sack wears haha

My bet is he doesn't wear jeans...just leather chaps...because they are crotchless and much more comfortable for him.

Most jeans just didn't fit me right until I came across Earnest Sewn. Great jeans...expensive but I'm sure you could find cheaper stuff.

If your loaded with cash - you can get measured and have a pair made special for your body...$300+

All men should have A.P.C. and Dior Homme denim in their closet.

And say it with me: SLIM!!!

SLIM, SLIM, SLIM, SLIM!!!!!!!!! No baggy crap.

NEVER FORGET!!!

I'm not sure why American men are significantly worse dressed than their European counterparts. I miss my gorgeous Euro men.

Wall Street leaders now understand that they made a mistake, one born of their innocent and trusting nature. They trusted ordinary Americans to behave more responsibly than they themselves ever would, and these ordinary Americans betrayed their trust.

Gap 1969 jeans are hands down the best jeans. Comfortable, sits well, semi-slim look without the extra gayness, and under 40 bucks a pair.

I have a pair of Gap jeans somewhere and I have to admit, they are probably the most comfortably jeans I have ever had...don't know if they were 1969 or not.

hmm can i get APCs or earnest sewn jeans for like less tahn 100 bucks? I don't want to sound cheap but I just can't stomach spending more than 100 on casual clothing lol

five finger discount.

looking for that pick-me-up to power through an all-nighter?

Nudies......can usually get them on sale for about 89-109 at barneys....saw them once for 69 on december 23 last year!

levis are great if your going to be working.....

cant go wrong with japenese denim....

I picked up a pair of union jeans on sale for $40 +$15 to get them tailored to length... It's been a few weeks, and I've had multiple compliments. Otherwise, I'm into Buffalo and Lucky for weekends, and did drunkenly buy a pair of Parasuco in Montreal that are indestructable and comfortable... heavy duty

A.P.C. is the way to go. I have a pair of raw selvage navy blue denim, bought them in February, have yet to wash them and the fading is awesome, it's custom to your body (leg) type. I spent $150 on them; i used to buy stuff from gap before, never going back, quality and craftsmanship is worth the price. Don't think of it as spending too much on casual clothing, you can keep them as dressy jeans and they will last longer than anything else you've bought in the past. Other names ppl have mentioned on here are legit

Honestly, it's painful to pay $100-200 for nice jeans, but you should only buy them if they look great and fit perfectly. If they do, you'll wear them all the time, they'll look good, and you'll definitely get your money's worth.

Hi, Eric Stratton, rush chairman, damn glad to meet you.

I wear Citizens, William Rast, R&R, AG jeans, and have a few Express Jeans. I buy them mostly at the Houston Galleria area. Sales only...I'm cheap.
Did you go to barneys when they had the mad clearance?? Some jeans went on for $5.00
It's what you put into it

I never wear jeans, now because of the work. I feel very cool!

International Pymp:
Gilded Age denim - hand made luxury denim. They're expensive (250-400), but worth every penny. Buy yourself 2 pairs and they won't wear out for like hundreds of wears.

Hugo Boss also nice and more reasonably prices (130-225).

That is ridiculous to pay that much for jeans. I have suits for less than that.

Macy's has a good selection of jeans to choose from. My high-class jeans are banana republic. You can get jeans there for about $50-$75.

Most jeans I bought from different price ranges don't wear out.

I actually like Express Men's jeans. Gap too has some good stuff.

And I know this sounds juvenile, but Abercrombie and Fitch's jeans fit amazing. They are the only thing that I would ever buy there - but man, they fit certain body types well -thick legs.

Alexander McQueen and Rick Owens make the best fitting jeans. Been through at least 4 of each in the past year. I love Nudies too but they last ~2 months tops if you wear them once a week.

Buying expensive / trend jeans is like buying a burberry pattern tie. You might feel great when you first buy it but in the end you wind up just wasting money and looking STUPID.

Sticks with Levi or Wrangler.

Black jeans? Come on....

Dude you were right, you are going to get flamed. First off, you come across exceptionally pretentious. Second you proved it by using a self made acronym...which you then had to define for everyone...which I find laughable. Third, I highly doubt that you did much on your own to become RBB, so it's sad that you would even mention other people's accomplishments as if it is some of reflection on who you really are.

Truthfully, I don't care if your pretentious or not (it doesn't bother me in the slightest) but what I find annoying are the people that are but pretend, or say, that they aren't. Dressing nicely doesn't only imply couture clothing or designer labels. I know a guy that is particularly pretentious but who thinks he's not. This is the same guy who says he prefers walk to, or park far away from, a restaurant when he is meeting a girl for the first date because he doesn't want her to know that he drives a Porsche (but probably sets his key on the table at dinner) but won't order generic floor mats for his car because they won't say "Porsche" on them.

Anyways, to each their own. I just know that when I fuck a girl and she cums it's probably not because she's fantasizing about the Levi's label she saw on my jeans when she was eye level to my cock and peeling them off.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, did not bother to read the entire thread, but Gap has so nice dark colour denim that is slim and solid in quality and can be found quite easily on sale. There fits and cuts seem to have a high turnover rate yr to yr.

Not in the same tier as APC and the likes, but then again not all of us want to spend big money on selvage or raw jeans.

If you're in NYC and don't mind dropping $225 on a paid, Accustom apparel uses 3d imaging to make a body scan and can make bespoke jeans. Have a suit and pair of jeans from there and love them both. Highly recommend them.

Anyone know of raw denim jeans that have cuts for doods with larger legs? Skinny jeans just don't cut it

Usually I do seven slouchy's (relaxed leg, straight leg opening) however they are no mas

I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold. I'll be fine once I get it

I mostly buy Levis without a second thought. It's a brand I know and for the most part the styles fit well right off the rack. The 505's... just a tad too long in the legs, need to hem them about an inch.

But I see guys saying they can't stomach to spend more than 100 bucks I jeans. I can't stomach to spend more than 45 since to me the quality and look are pretty much the same. Every pair of jeans that I wear to work I also wear in my off work time. They get dirty, sweaty, they stretch, shrink, fade. I'll play football in them on Sunday, wash them Sunday night, and I'm wearing them to work Monday morning. To ask me to spend more than 45 on something that's going to get beat up.... I don't know about you but something just doesn't sound right, or doesn't sound worth it, about that deal.

I don't wear jeans anymore. Even when I wear them supper low, I can't find any big enough in the inseam and I don't want to spend the money for custom pants.

I like my Gap jeans; they're ultimately comfortable and caters to someone who is not skinny.

I also have a local raw denim bought from a friend from 2 years ago. Raw denim is cool because it gets better with age.

Fortes fortuna adiuvat.

You should try out Paige brand jeans. I just went to Nordstrom today in La Jolla and they had a pair of the slim fit federal jeans in cellar color and I got them for 138 when they are priced at 200. Feel as soft as sweat pants and look as good as a jean can get. I got them to wear to the office when no clients are in.

xfactor:

RRL denim. totally worth it.

Department stores tend to include them in their sales. If you buy them direct you are paying for the insane overhead of that store.

Or just get Levis (514s).

xfactor:

RRL denim. totally worth it.

RRL is surprisingly cheap at Saks after Christmas. The sticker is so high because they have to pay for those crazy premium, low volume retail stores.

I also like Lucky, but that is a fit / comfort thing. Levis are fine if you want to keep it simple.

Get a pair of black or walnut calfskin loafers. With or without embellishment (horsebit, monk strap) depending on how fashion forward you are.

Seconded on the RRL. You'll go beyond your price point but be happy for it. Or, APC New Standards. If you like none of these options, check out the 'streetwear and denim' section of Styleforum, but be careful, the guys on that half of the site are pretty douchey.
