Got a job - not got paid
Hey Monkeys,
I left IBD recently to join the corporate development team for a medium sized company in London.
I'm finding adjusting to the lack of intensity a bit weird (although welcomed) but one thing I'm finding even more weird is that no-one has asked me for my bank details to pay me.
I've been here for a week and wanted to see if you thought I should ask someone (maybe the person who gave me the offer) when I'll get paid or whether its "wrong" to ask this so early in the job - it's the start of my second week now!
They probably haven't noticed that they don't have your bank details as the payments are bi-monthly (normally). They will probably get back to you saying that they couldn't find your details, so it would be great if you could provide them. I'd say it's not a big deal.
Alternatively, you can just approach HR (can do it via email as well) and casually mention your bank account details and add something along the lines of: 'I wanted to leave you my bank account details as I have not mentioned these in my work contract, thus I thought it would be helpful for you to know these'.
Or similar.
