GPA vs Grades
Do recruiters only care about your GPA or do they look at individual grades. For example, if my GPA is at a 3.80 but I have a C+ in Finance would they care?

Career Resources
They won't see your transcript until you send it in, usually after an offer is extended.
Nice, they won't rescind offer, right? What is to stop a student to do poorly in all their core classes and ace easy courses like microeconomics 101?
Why would they rescind the offer? Think about it for a minute. You didn't lie about anything, plus, why would the bank go through all that trouble just because of a C+?
Cause how poorly could you really do and maintain a 3.8? 1 C a year and straight A's in your 9 other courses.
Because there's only so many easy courses you can take before you have to stop to meet degree requirements. But I do know plenty of people who took a piano or vocal or art class every year to give their GPA a bump. No one bats an eyelash and sometimes is impressed that the student doesn't seem like a one-dimensional finance nerd (even if they actually are).
Some do require transcript alongside as part of initial submissions. Even so, pretty much no one is taking the time to look through them. Out of the dozens of applications you submit, maybe 1 analyst and 1 firm will notice it.
Did have one interview, though, where I was asked if I was unethical since my worst grade was in an ethics class...didn't get the position, not sure if it was because of that or something else.
Focus on your GPA, that is so important to some companies. But it is also one component of what you have to offer, so if your GPA is not high, find other talents that you prossess to differenciate yourself from everyone else.
My bank required transcripts long with the initial submission. I think the chance of someone ever look at your transcript if you had a 3.80 GPA is pretty slim though so I wouldn't stress too much about it.
