Twenty Four Hour Gyms in New York
Hi All:
I am moving to NYC in the fall and was hoping that you guys would be able to give me advice on good twenty four gym that is easily accessible from either 200W or is in the west village area where i hope to live.
Thanks guys!
Does your building have a fitness center? Many in-house exercise facilities have areas that are open 24 hours provided you have access.
Have you looked into 24 hour fitness?
24-hour fitness A couple of NYSC's are 24-hours (grand central I know is for sure, but is normally crowded) A lot of smaller/cheaper gyms try and attract people by having 24-hour offerings
A lot of places are open until 11 or so, and trust me after you get out of work at 2am... you aren't going to want to go to the gym...
Nysc grand central is no longer 24hrs...
24 hour fitness, best deal you can get. 66/month no sign up fee. I actually think its a pretty decent gym
Best gym by far is Citi Fitness right next to Union Square. Nice facilities and 24hours during the week. Only paid $60/month with no sign up fee.
hmm

does anyone know of any gyms that are open 24 hrs in new york? given the strain from working long hours, i am trying to find a place that would cater to monkeys working out 2, 3 in the morning. thanks!
Blink Fitness also, $20 a month, $20 initiation, $40 yearly dues. 24hrs, at least it was during the promotional period. On East 4th and Broadway.
3rd & Park 52nd & Broadway 7th Avenue at 10th Street
they are open 24
listen to these juicers. how did your trenbolone shot go today?
yeah of course because they want to stay in shape they must be on roids
dbol: breakfast of champions
dan is such a fuckin dork....chats about steroids on an ibanking messageboard, when he doesn't even have a summer analyst offer (and DON'T LIE, I KNOW U DON'T HAVE AN OFFER, IF U WANT I'LL DIG UP THE THREAD)
i dont love you.
Do in-house gyms at the i-banks tend to be open 24/7?
I know ms has one in times square. Not sure beyond that...
it needs no elaboration.
You guys should have a lifting contest.
the kid is a loser. he never comes on here to talk about anything related to himself or his interests. and frankly he knows better. nobody wants to listen to such a sorry fuck. all he does is search for my posts to comment on. the dude will never amount to anything. he is that kid in the group that always uses the work of others.
nailed it
don't most of these places have in office gyms?
I've never seen an office gym that didn't suck. Most of them have a real shortage of free weights, ironic since free weights are cheaper and take up less space than machines. They're also better, of course.
Anyone here do Crossfit?
Just drop and do 200 pushups in the pantry twice a day, that's all I need to remain a beast.
I know there are some 24 hour crunch gyms too
I am wonder the same, but it doesn't have to be 24 hours. I will be staying in Midtown east. Looking for the cheapest option for 2-3 months.

Anyone have any suggestion on boxing gyms, perhaps in the midtown east / murray hill area?
Kingsway and Mendez boxing are two boxing gyms in the midtown area....both a bit west of you but there are no real boxing gyms in midtown east/murray hill.
And on the question of 24hr gyms, it should be pointed out that you may want to do some research before showing up at a 24 hour gym "late night" especially in the West Village. Alot of these places become total gay cruising places late night..I live in the West Village and belong to a Crunch Gym that isnt 24 hours hours but even that one can get awkward at certain times and you definitely dont want to use the locker rooms...i guess for a chick its not a big deal tho.
goldman has a gym on the floor below the skylobby. it's not 24 hours (closes at 11 i think). you can sign up through HR workways for membership and they automatically deduct 50 bucks a month from your paycheck. no activation fee and they have shoes / shirts and shorts for you to use every time you go. easy to workout and then get back up to work. it's a great gym - machines for the cardio bunnies and a couple of flat / incline benches with the full set of dumbbells and free weight plates. also has two squat racks and an 'awesome abs' class that's killer.
Just a heads up for those trying to save $. NYSC has a student rate for the summer if your 22 or under. Its $30 a month and you stay locked in forever. (Student Passport club membership)
Signed up today. Great because you save around $500 a year =)
What do you mean locked in forever?
As in once your over the age limit (23+, or not a student anymore) , you still get to pay the $30 fee.
Great for those going into SA/FT positions in NY.
Can you do it month to month? So when I go home at the end of the summer I won't still be paying the $30 per month
Thread seems to be going, but quickly wanted to say thanks for all your input. You guys rock. 200w bound but I'm a gym bunny so want something twenty four in case I miss chance in the day. Thanks all!
