Have I been duped?

I spoke with a BCG Senior Associate for an informal interview a couple weeks ago and he said I would be reaching the next step in the recruiting process (1st round interview). Last week he told me that recruiting would be contacting me by the end of the week (today), but no word yet. Have I been duped, or is there a possibility that I will be contacted in a later "wave" of interview weeks (since I am from a non-target school)? Resume is finance-based, but I've been told it is solid by people from MBB & Deloitte.

Let me know party people.

He's a senior associate, he's busy (duh?), someone in HR forgot to contact you, big deal!!! Wait a few days and if he/BCG doesn't follow up, you drop him a few lines!

From a selfish standpoint: Fraternity has 2 major events this weekend- I would love to attend those events. However, I don't want to get caught with my pants down if, for some reason, they call me Saturday and notify me of an interview. Also, I can easily see my resume "slipping though the cracks".

Best Response

And I already sent him an email last night. I know that's being high-maintenance, but we had a very good rapport. The way I see it, sending him an email is worth making sure I don't miss my one chance with BCG. If a recruiter "forgets" to contact me, no big deal-to them. Pretty big deal to me. Especially if that particular BCG office is only doing interviews next week.

Thanks for the replies though.

@QuarterLife, agreed-The book is a great read and will help most people with most problems, IMO

BTW- The Captcha that you have to enter every post is complete bullshit.
