Haven't heard back after phone interviews... bad sign?

Company is an MM IB.

My process started with a phone call with HR, then it led to two more phone calls with associates. After my two phone interviews, I didn't hear anything back for about 1.5 week, so I reached out to HR, and no response for a week now. It's almost three weeks since I had my phone interviews.

Is this bad? Or are they waiting to start OCR? (for my school, the firm's OCR interviews are coming up in a week or so)

I heard back the next day at my BB.

You give me a gift? *BAM* Thank you note! You invite me somewhere? *POW* RSVP! You do me a favor? *WHAM* Favor returned! Do not test my politeness.

Hey Ray the title says BB....

Phone interviews are a little tricky with timing. Assuming you are non target and you got it through a connection then I would say you should be in touch this week. It is Monday so don't panic yet. Assuming you sent a thank you note over the weekend then I would hit up contact on Wednesday if you have not heard and ask for update.

Most are given that day but considering it was Friday they may wait to email you early this week.

Q: Should I email the HR rep and ask: a) For the name of my interviewer, and/or b) How long a decision will take. I have outstanding offers at HFs and one PE firm so I'm trying to decide what to do.

Do you know either of his names? If you can remember either you can google the extension. For example, ".johnson@UBS.com" along with the group. Sometimes you'll find it.

If not, email the HR lady and tell her you didn't get his card and that you want to send a follow-up email. Don't say you don't remember the name, just say you didn't get the card (giving a card is pretty standard so it's not your fault if they didn't give you one).

already threads on this, 8 days is a lot, bb's will usually contact immediately candidates they like after first round to progress them forward..to be honest it's likely you were declined, or possibly are on some waiting lilst

Dude it's best to have a very short memory when going through this process. Once you get done interviewing its best just to put it out of your head if you can. There's something to be said though about stressing out over your answers as you'll make sure not to make the same mistakes twice, but if your routine is down pat just move on unless they reach out.

Solid advice. Jog your memory if you made any glaring errors, if not, then focus on other leads and move on. Life's too short to ruminate over the "what if's" and "coulda, woulda, shoulda..."

Yeah, I probably should just forget about it... :P

Thanks for the advice everyone, I appreciate it.

Some guys land the first jobs they interview for others get rejected dozens of times before they get an offer, just stick with it.
