Hello from a non-target
Have been a lurker for the longest time - feels good...
Grew up going to a public school just outside of DC and made my way down to NC for college. I am currently a Sophomore at a non-target school, Elon University, studying finance with a focus in accounting and finance. I worked in financial advising last summer and learned first hand why it is frowned upon among this forum. I am unsure of my route at this point, and came here for your guys advice...
I am seriously struggling finding an internship in the industry coming from a non-target school with a 3.33 GPA. I have always been results driven and never necessarily enjoyed "school" as I like to tell people "in school it is A for effort, in the business world it's A for results". That statement has come back to haunt me in my search and I'm now here for y'alls advice on my next steps... financial modeling online courses, hard core networking, etc.? Give it to me straight. Cheers.
