I am a junior in college in Canada and I have chosen to do my summer internship at one of the big ibanks in india in their m&a group. I'm not sure that is where I want to end up, but I couldn't secure a SA position in North America this year. Will this help come FT recruiting in september, and is there anything I could do as of now to help my case.
My gpa is 3.5 but I have some strong wrk experiences in the summer. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think this summer experience will definitely help you. You will have the finance exposure and the fact that you are going to do it in India should probably help you for fulltime recruiting in the fall because it shows that you have determination, flexibility and are willing to seek out your own opportunities, so that should be a pretty good experience. And even though you will be in India, just network over the summer there because you never know what kind of connections people have.
