HELP!!! Advice needed!!

Hello,

I am a third year in a target-school in Virginia (hopefully you guys figure out which school that is) double majoring in politics and economics.
I am stuck in a somewhat troublinv situation and in need of your brilliant thoughts and comments.
I only recently became interested in IB which was the last week of this January to be precise. I used to be a pre-law and have been preoccupied with getting into top law schools. However my career ambition has now changed and I want to be an investment banker after I graduate.
The problem is I submitted all of the summer analyst applications for BBs and elite boutiques really late. By the time I decided to switch my career path from law to banking, it was late January to early Feb and that is when I turned in my applications. I know I have very slim chance of even getting an interview from any of them and I am very much concerned with a probable future of not landing with any summer job.
What would you guys do in if you were in my shoes? Would regional boutiques still consider my resume? And in terms of networking, I have been doing a lot of with alumni but no concrete result/benefit has occurred.....

BTW my stat is not too bad. I have 3.9xx GPA and have some leadership positions to write about on a resume (although not finance related....) ..... So .... even if I do not get any this year (which is agonizing to even think about) would my resume still standout for a FT recruitment round?

Thanks

Basically, what CPAExtraordinaire said holds true. Welcome to the world of not being targeted, and hustle your ass off. It's still possible you just have to try that much harder. Also, you'll need a very good story of why you now, all of the sudden, are interested in doing IBD. Everyone you reach out will ask you, why they didn't hear from you back in Sept/Oct/Nov., so be ready to answer that question and the answer should be more than just your career ambition changed.
