Help Me, Please! Hoping on a flight to NYC!

Hello WSO!

Pardon my throwaway account. I currently work at a real estate private equity firm and brokerage in the Los Angeles area. I am planning on moving to New York sometime in the next few months. As a result, I am on the job hunt! I am currently a financial analyst putting together Arguses (not sure what the plural for Argus files is.... maybe Argi?), make investment recommendations, and work on strategy. In addition to those responsibilities I work with a team on distressed properties and investigating opportunities with defaulting CMBS loans.

Though I enjoy my work and am 100% open to continuing this line of work, I am also open to other types of positions. In the past I have traded mortgage-backed securities for a large financial institution, worked for a Venture Capital firm, and been an analyst and associate at a private equity firm.

Given all of this, I am soliciting advice on how to proceed. WSO has some of the most experienced finance people on the planet and really need the help.

Basic facts on me:
1.) From the midwest.
2.) Went to a top-ranked liberal arts school in Boston area. Dual Majors: Quant Finance and Business Analytics.
3.) Previous work experience: Capital Markets at large financial institution (trades mortgage-backed securities exclusively), private equity analyst and associate at Boston-based firm, Financial Analyst at commercial real estate private equity and brokerage.
4.) Open to any roles you think I'd be a great fit for.

Please let me know if you have any advice for me, I'd be more than happy to send anyone any additional info they need to provide better advice!

Thank you all so much in advance,

-Struggling LA Captive

tl;dr: I hate Los Angeles and am moving back to east coast. Looking for career advice given a dynamic background. Will send you something cool if you're actually very helpful.
