Help reviewing FY Analyst Resume after 8 months on the Job...

Been working for the last few months at a tiny boutique. I've really enjoyed it thus far, but I feel like I need to move to wall street in order to ensure a successful long-term finance career.

I figured uploading this couldn't hurt. Feel free to absolutely tear it apart. Also, I wanted to say that I was the only junior banker (analyst/associate) on the majority of the deals I've worked on over the last 8 months. How can I include this on the resume without seeming pompous?

Thanks in advance.

The responsibilities line could flow better, it's just trying to accomplish too much at once. There are also some careless mistakes:

"preforming"; hyphen instead of dash on first date

"undertaken prior to undertaking" - convoluted and confusing

"buy side clients" is redundant

refrain from going into detail that will not be appreciated, i.e. "broadloom products"

"significant growth in corporate store growth" - ?

Diversified Apparel Company - make "Company's"; same line - insert space before dash

"Organized and maintained data room" - delete, no value added with this comment

"Large Apparel Holing" - ?

I'm not sure this presents your experience in a particularly compelling way. Sounds like you did the work of an average analyst with an average amount of skill. More of your statements need to be results-driven (as the lines ending with "in order to" are).

Here is what I mean: › Completed in-depth analysis of the carpet industry to evaluate the ROI and pay-back periods of projects related to expanding broadloom products and developing in-house carpet tile manufacturing capabilities

...so what? You analyzed the ROI. I mean, good work and all, but in order to move to the next level you need a big picture view and an appreciation for the entire project and its significance. That's the difficult part of finance. A lot of people know how to model, but driving revenue requires qualitative understanding, and the resume does not convey that you have it.

Hope that helps
