Help with Background Check
Hi everyone,
I recently accepted a FT offer from a BB and am preparing for the Background check process. As I went back to mine out all relevant documents, I saw my gmat score is very slightly off from what I put on the online App. I completely did that as a mistake and everything else checks out 100%. Should I reach out to HR and speak to them about it?
Thanks
I would say you should be fine if its a difference of 10 points from 720-730 or 730-740, however a difference of 690-700 seems a bit more impactful IMO (take that for exactly what it is, my opinion). I find it hard to believe that you fat fingered a gmat score on a application but regardless of the situation, I would suggest that you notify HR and explain the situation as an honest admission is much better than a background check finding it. On the other hand if you fudged a 650 score as 720, I would suggest bribing the background check company into "missing" this.
