Life as a consultant at L.E.K Los Angeles?

I am trying to get a better idea of what life is like as a consultant at LEK Los Angeles.
Here's what I (think) I know about LEK as a firm that I'd love to hear confirmed/denied, especially in the context of working in LA (roughly in order of importance to me):
*it's almost pure strategy & PE diligence
*they don't travel nearly as much as MBB/other firms
*hours were pretty brutal (80 hrs not uncommon) 2-3 years ago but have gotten better (settling more towards 60-65 w/ peaks and valleys)
*exit opps & network lag MBB but are still good
*pretty decent office culture due to staffing method
Also, I've heard the industry mix for the LA office is heavier on Tech/PE/Media (a plus for me), true or false?

Had a friend in that office and heard all of the points you mentioned except culture. Not saying it isn't true but did not talk much about that so can't confirm it.
I also heard that they do a lot of biotech work in that office, but this was 3-4 years ago.
Why not reach out to some staff or alumni there if you want some reasonable insight from someone who knows what they're talking about? That would be a much better decision than hoping to get someone to throw you something here.
Their office is in Westwood, it's pretty sweet. I'm loosely familiar with a couple of consultants there and they seem to like it. Strategy with a strong PE DD focus sounds like a good descriptor for a lot of LEK work. Media is going to be a big part of the business for any consulting firm in LA, particularly if they staff heavily locally (also, the Chief Strategy Officer of Disney is ex-LEK for example). How heavy LEK is on Media as a whole in LA is something I don't know. There are a variety of other industries pretty prominent in LA that might surprise you. Healthcare is decently big, so is manufacturing/light industry. As far as tech, that may come more from cross-staffing to the SF office or from media-tech work locally, but it would be hard to say.
The firm has a strong name, though yes, they do have a reputation for working you fairly hard (that's probably heavily dependent on industry/work type though, PE DD will work you hard, whereas corporate strategy in healthcare or something may be much more variable).
What exactly are you trying to get out of this question?
My friend's brother worked there about 3-4 years ago. This is what I generally know about his experience:
That said, it clearly wasn't a good fit. He also had a GPA barely above 3.0 from a decent but not-ivy school (so not a rocket scientist). I love my friend but wouldn't hire the guy myself or EVER refer him for a job. In all honesty, I think working there was the springboard for having a respectable job now. He's the only person I've known who worked there, but their reputation is very good otherwise.
If you actually want to be there, aren't afraid of working hard, and play nice with others: L.E.K. would probably be a good experience for you. If not, it seems like they have no problem trying to coach someone out.

I am looking for some guidance on my upcoming second round interview with L.E.K. LA office for life sciences consultant position. This is a post-mba experienced hire position. It would be great if someone can share his/her experience and provide useful tips.
Specially I am struggling to get information regarding the written/presentation case interview. I tried to search the same for L.E.K. but had no luck in the same.
Can you share a little more about your background? I hear the process is slightly different if you are a lateral from another consulting firm vs. coming from industry vs. coming from academia, etc.
I am coming from another consulting firm so I will be a lateral hire. I have 18 months post-MBA consulting experience in life sciences industry.
