HF career for a cross asset solution sales
Hello all! I am a new member, but have been reading the forum for quite a long time already. I decided to sign in to post a question, and hopefully get some replies from you guys.
I work in London as an equity derivatives sales, have almost two years of experiences on different trading floors, and have a passion for macro.
As a target, I would like to land to a HF position in the future, after I added to my resume some seniority, the necessary knowledge and more experience. Therefore, in order not to lose this opportunity in the future, I am working on my current skills and trying to learn as much as I can.
In my current job I work with several asset classes, structuring investment solutions allows me to keep learning techical aspects of derivatives, and, lastly, I read as much research as I can. Still, I am afraid that in the long term I will not be able to switch job, mainly because I am also focused on the commercial aspect of my job and I feel I would learn more being in a research or trading position.
What would you recommend me?

Moving to a trading position will be very, very hard.
