Hi, WSO, I'm brand new to this website, definitely hoping to find some advice and guidance from this community. I'm currently a sophomore at a West Coast target school, with a long-term goal of pursuing IB at a BB (dream big, right?). In terms of my short term goals, this spring and the rest of the summer, I'd really love to try to get as much professional exposure to the industry, and I was wondering if anybody had any tips for me, coming from a background with no professional experience in IB.

Welcome! There are definitely many people on this website who can help you. I think a good starting point would be to use the search bar and read many of the old threads regarding BB IB. There is a wealth of content that you can learn from on this site. I mean if your options are taking the commercial banking job.or having no job at all I would definitely think taking the position would be an overall good idea. Getting as many internships on your resume as possible, as soon as possible, is a very good idea towards progressing your career.
