How can a low GPA Computer Science major get a consulting internship interview?
I am a incoming sophomore studying Computer Science at the University of Michigan. I have a low gpa (3.0 - 3.2). I have demonstrated leadership on campus (elected student government officer) and I have worked several part-time jobs. I am spending this summer (summer after freshman year) interning remotely with a boutique management consulting firm. How can I position myself to get some consulting interviews during this recruiting season for an internship for the summer after my sophomore year (and, later, an internship for the summer after my junior year)? I feel like getting an interview may be the biggest barrier to entry for me due to my low GPA. My goal is to intern at MBB the summer after my junior year. Thank you in advance for the insight!
