i hope your joking about putting "reconstructive jaw surgery" on your resume. Save the story for a talking point in an interview when someone asks, "give us and example of a hardship or difficult time you had to work through".

Here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, you are the sucker.

I say dont explain it anywhere on your application material. Explain it in an interview. I doubt someone will look at your resume overly critically to determine what the issue was with the timeline. And if they do, they will save it until an interview to ask.

I am assuming the rest of your resume is fairly stellar. Dont make it an issue unless it is one. Good luck.

Just lie like everyone else does. After you get the interview start a new thread how you are bugging out bc the background check is coming up and you spun the crap out of a hedge fund job when you were really just out working at a landscaping company trimming hedges. lol

I would have taken trimming hedges over spending my summer with my jaws wired shut (well maybe not that far, but it wasn't great to be honest).

Record a remix of Kanye's through the wire and include that in your app....

Here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, you are the sucker.
