How Do I Word This "Objective" Section on My Resume?
So in reality, my objective is to get a summer internship in either investment banking or Asset Management (between may and the end of august) that has the possibility of turning into a full time hire upon the completion of the internship.
This seems like a mouthful. Is there a way you guys would suggest shortening it or making it more concise?
Also, do you guys think its a problem if I say that im looking for a job in either asset management or investment banking? would i have a higher chance of getting an offer if i picked something more specific?
thanks in advance.
Just from past posts etc., leave the "objective" section off your resume. You can adress some of your career goals in your Cover letter.
thats what i thought, but im sending my resume to a friend of mine in London that works in HR and she told me to add one in so that when she passes my resume around, people know what im looking for.
You reword it by leaving it off - objective sections are a waste of space. If your HR lady insists on one, keep it short and sweet, and pick between IB or AM so you don't look indecisive.
"To obtain a summer internship in investment banking."
