Prime Brokerage - Middle Office to Cap Intro/Sales

Hi,

Long time reader, first time poster. I was hoping someone could provide some advice on the transitioning from a Middle office role with Prime Brokerage over to the Capital Introduction / Sales Team.

I currently have one and half years of back office/fund accounting experience but had to leave, as I was starting to lose my mind. I recently started this new position, currently hold my Series 7 and Series 63 and am hoping to move into more of a client facing role.

I understand the challenges of this transition and do not need reminding. I am merely asking for advice from experienced professionals.

Best ways to network with the teams? (Ask people out for coffee/drinks?) How to prove I would be an asset on the team? How long before I bring this idea up to my Manager?

Any Advice in general would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone
