How many places did you interview at before you landed your PE gig?

^title. Also, if you dont mind posting what firm you worked at before you landed your PE gig, that would be also be appreciated (you can just post a group, e.g. BARC/DB/CS, if you dont want to post the specific name).

I interviewed at one other place before getting the offer from my current shop. I worked in MM IB (think Stephens, RJ, Harris Williams) as an analyst for two years with good reviews (offered direct promote to associate).

Currently an associate at a lower-MM LBO shop with ~$300 AUM that will most likely double in size with our third fund.

About 10 interviews. It's less than IB recruiting in general because once you get an offer that's "good" enough, you take it (as opposed to interviewing as much as possible then taking the best offer).
