How much is he earning ??????

Hello
I am a nurse and I'm just curious about what a senior trader salary is like ? Including bonus.

I am dating a senior trader and his hinting about marriage and kids, i just want to be sure im not being made a fool off. As i have experienced that in the past someone made up his whole career.

So if im going to settle down with someone i just don't want to have to struggle alone. I am not a gold digger ijust want to know what to expect..especially with his long working hours. It seems like hard work.
Oh and is it common that he loses his erction at times is it stress related.

Exact title:VP. business manager on equity derivatives Capital markets

Now I ain't saying she's a gold digger... but she ain't messing with no broke niggas.
If you're in a large city, he most likely makes well into the 6 figures. A possible reason he loses his erection is because he charms his one-eyed snakes too much.

Well he hasn't asked yet but it's only been several months, I do like him lots just don't want to be stuck with 4 kids and with someone who can't pay the mortgage. No idea about the banking world this is why I posted in this forum. Well it is great when we do but he can't go twice ...eeek or late at night:(

Business manager means he's not a trader. It's some administrative role, most likely. I doubt he makes a ton of dough. Did he say he's a trader or just that he works on a trading desk/floor? Plus, he's only a VP, which are a dime a dozen. I would guess he makes a few hundred grand, but I have no idea.

Just take a peek at one of his bank or brokerage statements. It's tax season, you could also just take a look at his tax return. Hahahaha.

Omg!! yes he says trader on stock exchange and senior..he has 8 computer screens lol I know I must sounds silly... Oh i have tried I will have another good look;) men do this alot try to fool woman into believing they are loaded when not! Especially in My case I hope this isn't true administrative role!

Administrative doesn't mean secretary. Just not a salesman or trader. Probably has something to do with P&L, so operations or finance.

six question marks. Member for a few hours. Has an understanding of how to organize paragraphs, with excellent sentence structure, but poor grammar.

The appreciate the helpful response. Clearly I have good reason to query his role as it now seems he may not be what I thought.

well he says his a "trader in finance" I thought most traders finshes their day early around 4? He doesn't leave till 7 ish. He mentioned his team having a large budget and their only being one other person above him that is in charge. His always taking clients out.. does this sound like buiness manager behaviour ???

Perhaps I should have called the thread "Does anyone know if this job title equates to senior trader" Not how much does he earn. Any who it seems to have the caught the attention of many who have nothing better to do on a Saturday evening!

Perhaps I should practice my gold digging skills some more, and ask outright...how much do you earn honey ??!

@DickFuld .. man, you always say what I am thinking... btw.. I believe most nurses make ~70-80K a year in NYC... and i would bet that she is not getting younger or prettier with time.

@kim12 ... you say that you have been dating for a few months and already marriage is likely on the table. First off if you guys are that close and you really have no idea how much he makes (not even ballpark), there is something really wrong with the relationship... or maybe (most likely) you are just going "ka-ching!!!" in your mind and hoping this works out coz of your high standards .. 300K+ a year.. I would short your marriage (if ever there is one)... ask him what 'shorting' means in case you don't get it.

If you saw me you would also be talking about marriage.! just like men prefer attractive woman to produce their offspring, woman prefer a man that can support. High standards? Well all you bankers have a type don't blame me..

Hmm, do you have a recent picture you want to share? Should be within the last two years though

I think she just means she has 'birthing hips'.

maybe.. but with that attitude I would back down in no time.

Anyway, if your looks are your only true asset I don't know what to tell you ... to paraphrase dick fuld - you are not getting any younger or prettier. Also, if looks are your only asset and the guy is even a little bit smart, he is not going ahead without a prenup.
