How Should I Reneg My Offer?IB
So I didn't get anything locked up in the fall recruiting season for IB and began to think about delaying graduation to try one more time. I happened to pick up an internship at a F100 company (GMills,J&J,Boeing) for the summer. I accepted the offer a month ago, and it just so happens that I just got a call from a solid MM firm and after going through their superday with them, I received an offer for full-time after graduation in May. Obviously, I am accepting as it is banking and it is full time, but I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how to go about reneging my internship offer. I understand this is looked down upon, but I don't plan on doing finance at a F100 company anyway. What are your thoughts on reneging this internship, I think it's understandable. Can I get in legal trouble for reneging? (I signed the offer letter and all that stuff already).......any advice on how to approach this and what to say in this situation would be appreciated.
