I am a 2nd year analyst in the sales trading division of a top BB bank. I am hoping to switch to something else and am taking practising some of SHL's logical tests for online recruiting tests. I have attached a few that I think were pretty challenging . Lets see how smart you all are are see how many of the 10 attached you can do. I think I got 9 but cant be sure as they are snap shotted from an actual test. Happy to share any experience of my recruiting into sales and trading and my first 2 years there if you guys can help me affirm the answers to any of the attached logical reasoning questions. First one is E. Second three are the opposite of the first three.
Second one is C. Each row can be though as moving left or right (with wrap arounds) at various speeds. You only need to look a the bottom and top one to verify.
Third one is D. I paid attention to the dot and checkerboard triangles. They experience opposite rotations of 1 on odd and even sequence elements (that is, the pattern occurs every other element, and there are two opposite patterns.)
Fourth is A. Same as number 1.
Fifth is C. There are always 5 white balls, so we can immediately eliminate everything but C and E. Then notice the rotation of the black balls and we're done.
Sixth is C. The pattern is basically after a triangle is the same 3 times, it becomes what's clockwise next to it.
Seventh is E. We can immediately eliminate all but C and E; of we imagine the middle as an eye with the black part as an iris, the small black circle is always to the right and behind the eye. The whites rotate as well, but have one pause when the black dot overlaps the white.
Eight is E. Each triangle is somewhere along in it's patter of rotate counter clockwise, rotate counter clockwise, pause, (repeat)
Nine is A. Same as six, but counterclockwise instead of clockwise.
Ten is E. Each quadrant last for four turns than switches to the other option.
For each of these, it's important to consider that these might be in the middle of a sequence rather than at the start. Hope my explanations helped.

6) Is actually E. If you observe your pattern you see it actually breaks down for the top right triangle. It remains in the same place for 3 turns and then rotates 180 degrees. True pattern is 2 adjacent squares remain the same to the next turn, the squares that remain the same rotates counterclockwise. The 2 square that arent frozen alternate between rotating 180 degrees and 90 degrees in opposing directions. Answer is E here.
7) Im not sure how you can definitlty decide between C and E, perhaps I'm missing some pattern in the rotation.
8-10 I also agree
Don't necessarily agree that my pattern breaks down for the top right triangle. It stays the same 3 times, turns to the next triangle clockwise adjacent, and then is another triangle for 3 turns, just like all the others.
It's interesting that our interpretations of the patterns match in which triangles stay the same. However, I think your pattern for the other two triangles is a bit more complicated than mine. Unfortunately, with these types of questions, it's hard to say - so you may very well be right.
For seven, the iris of the eye would suddenly have to rotate clockwise, which it's never done before, so that makes little sense.
