One-Day Long Programs on Resume?

I was recently accepted into one of those one-day programs at a BB. Should this be included on my resume? Not sure if people have done this, or if it is necessary. What do you think? I was thinking that I would just put it under my Activities section just saying "XX Bank Program."

Only reason I question it is this: Say I am applying to XYZ bank, buy my resume says ABC Program on it. Wont they ask in the interview, "Well I see you have this pre-recruiting program. Why don't you go work for them instead?"

For some reason I can just picture some asshole asking that...

That'd be a great opportunity to show you have studied the different banks and have a very clear reason for why this bank rather than that one...I would put something like this on there to invite the question. I put a scholarship from a BB on my resume and ended up at a different bank, but I think it strengthened my resume and helped me get an interview- it shows you have been "pre-screened" so to speak

I think it would be a good idea to include it on your CV. It will definitely help you in standing out. Use any questions you get about it to give a positive take on why the career and firm appeals to you, i.e. process of discovery.

But what about if I am interviewing for a different BB than one that I had this program at? What do you think the reaction to this would be

I'd say it will work in your favour. You will be able to articulate a more convincing story as to why this career is one you're interested in. You can give some highlights here of the day to back yourself up.

If you do get the question about why not going to work for that particular bank, you can again tell a story about how, while you enjoyed certain aspects of that bank, you've come to a realisation that the bank you are interviewing has particular features that are more appealing to you and you will somehow have more to contribute here.

Consider that candidates going for roles have a range of work experience on their CV. They are going to get asked why they didn't continue on in that role. Again, it comes down to an opportunity for a candidate to articulate how they've reflected on that experience as one that's been valuable in terms of learning, but also somehow now seeing that the position they are interviewing for is more suited for them.
