How to Live Out of A Carry On for a Week Long Business Trip?
I'm taking a week long trip to the east coast to check out business schools in a couple cities. I'm going to be doing a ton of traveling, and ideally will be able to fit everything into a carry on suitcase and messenger bag. I'll also be interviewing at one school and attending a professional networking event.
What should I bring? I was going to bring one suit, one blazer/pants, and just wear those the whole time along with daily shirts and ties, two pairs of shoes with belts, daily socks/underwear obviously and an overcoat. How does this sound? This is my first real business trip longer than two days where I have to look professional every single day.
What would you bring?
My advice is wear the suit on the flight, choose one pair of dress shoes, wear them too, pack sneakers, wear a tie and a button up, pack an extra tie and two button ups. Get the travel size if you bring your own toiletries.
The wear the suit on the flight is really good advice, always wear or carry the heavy items. Outside of that you sound like you have plenty. Just remember to take a shaving kit.
You may want to bring a backup suit jacket on the off chance that you fuck yours up. It's not that hard to replace some suit pants decently well on the road, but you might have a harder time with that jacket. It sounds like you have everything else though- don't forget the basics.
Is this a serious question? Assuming you wear a suit on the flight, you can easily fit four shirts/sock pairs/underwear in addition to two suits, plus room for an extra pair of pants and/or jacket.
