How to prepare for Happy Hour event for Consulting Recruiting (Tier 2 firm)?

Hello Everyone,

I have been invited to an Happy Hour networking dinner session that is exclusive and invitation only by a Tier 2 consulting firm.

I have a strong feeling that although it is a casual networking session, I think it will be evaluative to a certain extent.

Has anyone had an experience with such an event and how to prepare for it?

Thank you so much and I would appreciate any help!

Don't get drunk. Be fun and not too intense. Know the firm well and show interest. Ideally, you'll know a consultant who will be at the event but that's not necessary.

Ultimately, you'll make a good impression if you're humble and down to earth, ask some good questions, and can have a decent conversation. It will help that most of your peers will not follow this advice and work against themselves.

Here are some tips for making an "unforgettable" impression:

-Get near him in a crowded room and, as you pass by, touch his lower back, rest your hand on his forearm or steady yourself on his biceps.

-Guys love to hear their names — throw his into conversation a couple of times, and he'll know you're into him.

-Cross your legs and slowly move your top foot in circles. His eyes will be drawn to your gorgeous gams since men are used to focusing on movement.

YOU. GOT. THIS.

That's cool, I would just recommend that you get a coke or something so it looks like you might be drinking (people won't be able to tell it's just coke). As much as it is very respectable to not drink (I went through this myself), it is sometimes off-putting to people who are drinking. So, try to blend in as much as possible.
